If your sponsor has lost its licence, here is who helps

These are free services, listed because they are free. None of them charge you, and none of them are us. If anyone asks you to pay for a Certificate of Sponsorship, that is illegal: the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority and the Modern Slavery Helpline, both below, are who to tell.

Where you stand

If your employer's sponsor licence was revoked, your permission to stay does not end that day. The Home Office normally writes to you and you have a limited period to find a new sponsor, switch to another route or leave. The exact period and what applies to you depends on your own circumstances, so read the letter you were sent and get advice from one of the organisations below rather than from a recruiter.

Two dates are worth knowing. Overseas recruitment into care roles closed on 22 July 2025, and in-country switching into a care role is due to end on 22 July 2028. Employers still holding a licence can still take over the sponsorship of someone already here.

Finding an employer who can sponsor

That is what this site does. It starts from the Home Office register of licensed sponsors, cross-checks the care regulators, and reads every advert for wording that rules sponsorship out, so you are not posting applications to employers who were never able to help.
