A job board can show you two thousand care jobs and leave you to work out which employer could actually sponsor you. That is the wrong way round, and it is why people spend weeks applying to employers who were never able to help.

Every advert is read for the words that rule sponsorship out, and the pay is checked against the published going rate. You see the sentence we found, not just a score.

A keyword search sees the words and recommends the job. Read the whole sentence and it is a refusal. This is a real advert, from a real licensed sponsor, that we removed from the results.

- The regulator. CQC in England, Care Inspectorate in Scotland
- The occupation. Whether the duties match the work you are sponsored for
- The pay. Against the published going rate, with the arithmetic shown
- The wording. Including refusals written in the middle of a friendly paragraph
Most licensed employers never advertise. You can still ring them.
There are 11,099 care employers holding a sponsor licence. On an average day fewer than a thousand of them have a vacancy posted anywhere. Every job site, including the good ones, can only show you that thousand. The other ten thousand are not hiding: they are simply not advertising this week.

A list, not a directory
4,100 licensed care employers with a phone number, sorted by how far they are from your postcode. The nearest is usually a mile away. Ten new ones a day, so it stays a morning's work rather than a list of six hundred you close.

What to say when they answer
Twenty seconds, written out: who you are, what visa you are on, and the one question that matters, which is whether they are issuing certificates of sponsorship at the moment. We have already checked the licence, so you are confirming it rather than asking blind.

No answer comes back tomorrow. "Call me Thursday" comes back Thursday, with the name of the person who said it. Not sponsoring this year goes quiet for a quarter. You never ring the same place twice by accident, and you never lose the one who said try again in a month.

This field is full of people charging thousands for a Certificate of Sponsorship. Paying for one is illegal. Here is exactly where the line sits.
What it does
Reads public data: the sponsor register, the care regulators, and job adverts. Shows you which employers are able to sponsor, ranked by how well the vacancy fits, with the evidence attached.
What it does not do
It does not give immigration advice, contact employers for you, or promise anyone a job. The employer decides whether to sponsor you. The Home Office decides immigration applications.
What it costs

Can I change employer on a Health and Care Worker visa?
Yes. A new employer that holds a sponsor licence assigns you a new Certificate of Sponsorship, and you apply to change employer before you start work with them. Overseas recruitment into care roles closed on 22 July 2025, but switching employer from inside the UK is still possible. What applies to you depends on your own circumstances.
What happens if I leave my job while I am sponsored?
Your permission to be in the UK is tied to your sponsorship, so your employer tells the Home Office when it ends. You are normally given a limited period to find a new sponsor, switch to another route or leave. Read the letter the Home Office sends you, because the period stated on it is the one that counts.
What happens to my visa if my employer loses its licence?
The same thing, and not on the day the licence is revoked. You are written to and given a period to find a new sponsor. The employers able to take one on are on the public register, which is where this service starts.
Which care companies offer visa sponsorship?
Any care employer holding a licence on the Home Office register is able to, and there are thousands of them. Able to and willing to are different things, which is why we match the register against live vacancies and read each advert for wording that rules sponsorship out. How much does it cost to change employer?
Your new employer pays the sponsor licence and Certificate of Sponsorship fees. You pay the visa application fee and the immigration health surcharge, both set by the Home Office and both published on GOV.UK. You must never pay an employer or an agent for a Certificate of Sponsorship: charging a worker for one is illegal.
What happens to care workers after 2028?
In-country switching into a care role is currently due to end on 22 July 2028. What that means for someone already sponsored, and for settlement, is a matter for the rules in force at the time. We are not going to guess at it, and neither should a recruiter.
