Where the list comes from

The Home Office publishes every organisation holding a licence to sponsor workers. That file is where this starts. We match each entry against the Care Quality Commission's register in England (4,556 matched) and the Care Inspectorate's in Scotland (388 matched), so what you are reading is two public records agreeing with each other rather than a company's own claim about itself. Last checked against the register release of "2026-10-15".

Care regulation is devolved, so an employer in Wales or Northern Ireland is shown as not checked rather than judged against the wrong regulator. We are working on those two.

Can care workers still get visa sponsorship in the UK?

Overseas recruitment into care roles closed on 22 July 2025, and in-country switching into a care role is due to end on 22 July 2028. An employer that holds a valid sponsor licence can still sponsor someone who is already in the UK. That is what this list is for.

How do I check whether a company can sponsor a visa?

The Home Office publishes the register of licensed sponsors, so an employer either appears on it or it does not. That is a fact you can check rather than something to take on trust. Charging a worker for a Certificate of Sponsorship is illegal, so an employer or agent asking you to pay for one is a warning sign.

Which care agency in the UK has visa sponsorship?

Plenty of agencies hold a licence, and they appear in this list like any other employer. One thing worth knowing: an agency that only supplies staff to somebody else's registered service does not itself need to be registered with a care regulator, so a missing regulator record does not always mean what it looks like. In England the sponsor must hold CQC registration for a care worker role, so ask the agency directly for their CQC provider ID before you apply.
